Former US President, Bill Clinton AFP Donald Trump has said he would consider seeking advice from Bill Clinton, just days after besting the former president’s wife, Hillary, in the upset US presidential election. Trump received a call from Bill Clinton after the vote in which the former president “couldn’t have been more gracious,” the 70-year-old Republican billionaire said in excerpts of an interview released Friday by CBS.The comments echo Trump’s remarks after a meeting with President Barack Obama on Thursday, when he said he looked “forward to dealing with the president in the future,” including receiving Obama’s counsel. Multi-billion naira drug: NDLEA to arraign four

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday said it had concluded arrangements to arraign four suspected members of an international drug trafficking syndicate. The syndicate, according to a statement issued by the agency’s spokesperson, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, specialised in smuggling narcotic drugs with fake security escort vehicles with siren. “All four defendants will appear before Justice P. I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo, on Friday, November 11. “Officers attached to the Edo Command intercepted the convoy of a Ford pickup and a Toyota Tundra while conveying 34.2kg of methamphetamine from Lagos. “The substance that tested positive for methamphetamine was concealed in cartons containing computer accessories. “The estimated street value of the drug in Europe and Asia is about 24 million dollars,’’ he said. Associates of All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have raised the alarm over plans by spin doctors to fabricate lies to portray him in bad light before the Presidency and top party leaders. They took exception to fabricated media reports that the former Lagos State governor travelled abroad to avoid attending a reconciliation meeting on the Ondo APC crisis scheduled for last week. According to them, Tinubu was unaware of any proposed meeting before he travelled outside the country to honour some outstanding family and business obligations. Nigerian entertainer sued for snubbing show in U.S

Nigerian-American rapper, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, simply called Wale has caught the ire of show promoters, Upfront and Personal Global, headed by multimillionaire, Paul Okoye,  for failing to show-up at the One Africa Music Festival, a show he was hugely paid for. Wale, who resides in Washington DC, rose to prominence in 2006, when his song,  Dig Dug  became a hit in his hometown. The show took place on July 22, at Backlays Centre, New York City. In a document obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff shows an alleged signed contract between Wale’s camp and Upfront, plus two wire transfers for $12.5k a piece. They claimed that soon after, Wale went radio silent on them when asked for a refund. However, Wale claimed he was present at the show, but was not allowed to perform because he got there late. 9ice escapes armed robbery attack

Gongo  Aso  crooner, Abolore Akande, aka 9ice has escaped armed robbers attack along Town Planning Way, Anthony, Lagos. An impeccable source said the attack happened on Sunday night, 6th November 2016 when the multiple awards winner was heading to a show. While coming from Coker road, an ash coloured vehicle conveying four armed men crossed 9ice Benz red car. But the artiste had insinuated that they had evil plans when he was driving behind the robbers’ car. However, he was able to turn back on the motion to Coker road from Town Planning way and escape. In his opinion, their intention was to rid him of the vehicle and possibly, other valuables. “I thank God for the narrow escape. I can’t even imagine what I experienced on Sunday night. The robbers intention was to collect the car,” 9ice said.

Markets slump after Trump victory

United Kingdom (UK) and European markets were taking stock yesterday after sharp initial falls following Donald Trump’s victory. The FTSE 100 index fell 2% at the start of trading before paring back some losses to trade 0.7% lower at midday. Other major European stock markets also fell, with money flowing into safe haven stocks, gold and currencies including the yen. Traders had expected Hillary Clinton to beat Donald Trump to become the next United States president. France’s Cac index and Germany’s Dax are each down about 1.5% after heavier falls at the start of trading.Concerns about the impact of a Trump presidency on the Mexican economy saw its currency, the peso, fall more than 13% overnight against the dollar to its lowest level in two decades.
