Read Bride-to-Be Adesua Etomi’s Beautiful Letter to her fiancé Banky W

Image
The internet is already “broken” with excitement as 2 of Nigeria’s brightest stars have announced that they are getting married! Adesua Etomi  and  Banky W  have acted as lovers in a music video and a blockbuster movie, now it is for real! You’ve read Banky’s letter, now read Adesua’s. *** I went to an event in 2015 and I suppose that was the beginning of something amazing because once banky saw me, he decided that he was going to be my biggest fan. He slid into my DM and sent the funniest message and that was how we became friends. At the time, I wasn’t interested in anything but a friendship and he was very respectful of that and so we stayed just friends for about a year and a half. Our friendship opened my eyes to a lot of things. Opened my eyes to the type of man Olubankole is and WHAT A MAN. WHAT A MIGHTY GOOD MAN. Olubankole, Your Heart is pure and good, to the very core. You are proof that God is real, you are proof that what’s on the inside is greater and so much

Tiwa Savage joins Rotary’s polio eradication campaign

Image
Nigeria’s songstress, Tiwa Savage, has joined Rotary’s ‘This Close’ public awareness campaign for polio eradication. Polio, a paralysing and life altering disease, is on the verge of becoming the second human disease ever to be eliminated worldwide after smallpox. Savage, described by CNN as Nigeria’s biggest pop star, will help Rotary achieve its goal of a polio-free world by raising awareness about the vaccine-preventable disease. Nigeria regularly conducts mass immunisation campaigns to vaccinate every child under the age of five in the country. Last year, Nigeria experienced a polio outbreak that paralysed four children after passing nearly two years without a case of the disease. “This is a cause that hits close to home for me, not only as a mother of a small child but as a proud Nigerian, whose country has been battling this disease for many years,” Savage said in a statement age’s musical career began when she was 16 years of age as a backup singer for George Michael.

Is Mercy Aigbe’s husband battling the burden of proof?

Image
As the rumors about the family of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, keep taking different dimensions, many fans of the star are left in confusion. The actress herself has remained silent on the issue. The only indication she is giving to her followers on social media are photos of her personal campaign against domestic violence. Comments are closed under the generic photos of campaign against domestic violence. She does not appear in any of the photos. However, her husband, Lanre Gentry, seems to be trying hard to convince people that everything is fine in the family. Last week, he said that photos of the actress – in which she appeared battered – being circulated by bloggers were from movies. This led people to think in the direction of a publicity stunt. But, does Mercy Aigbe need such? Would she do it at the expense of her family? Mr. Gentry had also posted that Mercy would not have stayed with him for 10 years if he had been battering her. Why I’m not vulgar – Sound Sultan

Image
Popular Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Sound Sultan, says his music is devoid of vulgar words because he regards music as a powerful tool that could influence society. Sultan, born Olanrewaju Fasasi, the crooner of popular “Jagbajantis”, said on Tuesday in Lagos that he preferred to use his music to educate and inform the youth. “I want to help the youth facilitate their goals with my music, I want them to draw inspiration from me for them to achieve their dreams and not mislead them with my songs. “I want to bring my wealth of experience to youths by reaching out to them. “Music is a powerful tool and we need to use the tool to educate and not destroy and if we use it wrongly, it becomes a weapon, so why not use it wisely. “Musicians should impact the lives of their listeners and not get their mood corrupted. So, we have to be careful about what we dish out,’’ the musician said. Sultan, who was made a United Nation (UN) Ambassador for Peace in 2012, said that his mu

Singer says sexual molestation made her feel ugly

Image
According to her, it had a negative effect on her during her formative years. The Greenland singer shared all this in an interview with Kemi Adetiba on King Women. “ I was sexually abused as a child and because of this, I felt like there was something ugly about me that made me encounter this. This was not the abuser’s fault, this was me. I used to see other girls as flowers and I saw myself as dirty cement, hard and ugly. I never felt beautiful, everything was wrong with me, I was hairy and it was a problem. I always attributed everything that was about me to be the reason someone took advantage of me. I thought there was something wrong with me because if the others girls were like me perhaps they would be dirty like me but they were flowers. When a friend told me about salvation, she told me old things would be passed away and all things will become new. It was as if God could wash away that stench and I would become a girl because I didn’t feel like a girl. I was sho
