British actor Roger Moore, who played the womanising superspy James Bond over two decades with a suave wit, died Tuesday aged 89, his children announced. "It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer,"  they said in a statement published on Twitter. "We are all devastated,"   Deborah, Geoffrey  and  Christian  said, adding:  "Thank you Pops for being you, and for being so very special to so many people." Moore won fame as the smooth-talking adventurer  Simon Templar  in British television show "The Saint" in the 1960s, and also starred alongside  Tony Curtis  in "The Persuaders" in the 1970s.

American former professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr who currently works as a boxing promoter, is set to visit Nigerian in June. In a post on ‘Rumors club,’ Instagram page ‘clubrumorsvi’ the 40-year-old said, “Friend what’sup,“It’s the one and only Floyd Mayweather. Nigeria June 12,13 and 14, the motherland prince, ill see you guys soon.” Rumors Club is owned by Nigerian music Artist, Innocent Ujah Idibia better known as 2Baba or 2Face.2Baba’opened the first Rumors club in GRA, Ikeja in 2012, he subsequently opened the Festac and Victoria Island branch in 2014.

Salma Hayek laid into Hollywood sexism on Tuesday, saying the system treats actresses like performing monkeys and wants rid of them once they realise they are smart. The Mexican star of “Frida” and “Desperado” lambasted the “macho” attitudes of Tinseltown, where fewer than seven percent of films are made by women. “Hollywood is not going to change and give it to women because it is all guys,” she said. “From the beginning I realised I wasn’t being treated equally as an actress,” she said during a talk at the Cannes film festival. “It is true that maybe if you are pretty you can get parts easier but it’s really violent to assume if you are pretty you are stupid. “Hollywood’s particularly macho. If they realise that you are smart, their anger gets multiplied,” Hayek said. To many movers and shakers young actresses are playthings, she claimed. “They say ‘Get a monkey’ and then the monkey talks and they say, ‘Oh my God, maybe we are going to make money.’ Then one day the
