How Actor Yomi Fabiyi Escapes Death..


Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi today narrowly escaped death on Lagos -Ibadan expressway, the actor who was coming from Ondo state when the accident happened, said he could not believe how lucky he is, to still be alive.
According to the information posted by the actor on his Facebook page, he escaped from the crash just by the grace of God.

I AM ALIVE, MY STORY. Thank God with me. Left Owo, Ondo State Yesterday late, stopped over in Hon Rotimi Makinde’s house in Ife since I felt uncomfortable driving anylonger(Thanks to him cos I called him late and despite not home he ordered his staff to accomodate me).
I continued my journey this morning and on getting past Iwo Road I lost my car horn(It could be a sign). On getting to Ogere, I overtook a trailer and moved few metres to ran into a small ditch. Little did I know it had broke d rod holding d back wheels. I lost d steering and my car twisted several. But I dnt know what held down the cars and that trailers.
At a point, I lost hope and was expecting a crush from any speeding car but just as d car stopped, the spot was dry under 1mins no car. D fire on d right wheel stopped. The Okada man on d road path had little bruise. How God saved me is still a mystery. It would have been RIP Yomi Fabiyi in d next few hours but God deliberately erased that. I thank God am writing this with no bruise or pain. I escaped unhurt but car undergoing repair inside OBA OIL Petrol Station, Ogere. I still have some journey to take to Lagos and I know he will do the rest. I wrote this in appreciation cos I tweet lesser important things and can’t afford not to drop this in gratitude to God. I just pity my mum in between but ope ni fun Olorun

Film-makers reject dubbing of Chinese films into Yoruba, Hausa

Top indigenous film-makers and actors that include Dele Odule, Jide Kosoko and Tunji Bamisigbin have opposed an alleged plan by a pay-TV provider, Star Times, to broadcast Chinese films dubbed into Yoruba and other indigenous languages. According to them, the development is capable of destroying the indigenous film industry. They spoke at a briefing held at the LTV complex, Ikeja, Lagos, last Wednesday.At the event attended by actors, producers and marketers, including Yemi Solade, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdurasak and Tunji Ojetola, they called on the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and the National Assembly to stop the move that they described as one that can cause cultural erosion. How kidnapped Lagos teachers, pupils were released

Kidnapped four pupils and two teachers of Lagos State Model College, Igbonla Epe, were ferried to safety in two speedboats by their abductors on Tuesday, it was learnt yesterday. The victims – Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi – Junior School Vice Principal A. O. Oyesola and English teacher Lukman Oyerinde, were dropped off inside a forest where they trekked for over two hours before meeting their relatives. Our reporters learnt that they were asked to walk in a line and not look back until they got to the point where family members had waited for over four hours. The vice principal led the pack and the English teacher was asked to stay at the rear, leaving the pupils in-between. The victims were taken to the Epe General Hospital for check-up.  Some of them were diagnosed with typhoid and malaria.
