Gernot Rohr advises Super Falcons ahead of AWCON championship

Nigeria technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has advised the Super Falcons to learn from their male counterparts, if they must successfully defend their African Women Championship title in Cameroon in November.

Rohr led the Super Eagles to a 2-1 win over Zambia on Sunday, and the tactician believes Unity and hard work will help coach Florence Omagbemi’s side conquer Africa for the tenth time.

The former Falcons defender invited 30 players, which includes eight foreign based to the camp for the 2016 Africa Women's Nations Cup, staging in Cameroon.
"You must have a good team spirit because it is very important to not just play together but bond together and have fun in training and in the camp as well,” Rohr told NFF media
"To have fun but to be very serious. It is what we do in the Super Eagles team. We have the family spirit of oneness and togetherness.
“Not just like a team but to live like a family. With this, you can become champions again. And I am going to be in Cameroon to support you.
"I see some girls here today but I know that professionals will join them very soon. Very good players, some of them play in big countries like USA, Sweden, and France.
“The other teams in Nigeria group don't have many of such players I think. So, it's a good team and you also have experience.”
